Gabe loves fruit - basically any kind or variety. His current favorites are grapes and Craisins. Fruit in Spanish is "fruta" but that's kind of hard to say, so he tells me all day long: - Puta, ma, puta - Do you want some fruit Gabe? - Si!!
That was the first bad word Lisa Marieiro taught me in Portugese when we were kids...I blush (and laugh) every time Gabe says it.
at least he talks. Seriously, I'm sending you Connor. I can't even sign him up for preschool for another year. I swore I wouldn't put another kid in preschool for 2 years in a row - just such a pain. But Connor is driving me crazy and I would love to have the option of sending him now. I might find 2 preschools. A morning and an afternoon. If everyone around there goes - you might be stuck. Will he get labeled "the kid who didn't start preschool until he was 3" for the rest of his academic career? maybe we'll relocate to S.America.
yep. Tammy got it. i'd snicker, too. that was also one of the first words in Portuguese I ever learned. why is it that the naughty words stick the longest and are the first ones taught??? I can curse in at least four languages. impressive, eh?
I am a wife to one and mother to two Argentines. I'm sometimes not sure how that happened. I am a medical writer. I am back in the US after 5+ years of living abroad and am discovering that my fears of a suburban housewife life were unfounded. I love it. Bring on the minivan.
