Abuelo Deo

Mario's father is a very serious, proper gentleman. He doesn't like to hold Gabe, he says "it's not my generation's way," or it's not what he was raised to do. But he loves to try and get his attention. And Gabe rewards him with lots of smiles.

Hey Adrianne!

This is Lorena (Jessica's Aunt...yes, I know, it sounds funny to me, too...even after 10 years!)

I have been lurking on your blog because it so reminds me of my family...the look and sounds of those quirky Argentine people! Well, when I saw this post about Abuelo, I just had to comment.

This is so totally how my Abuelo Nino is. I have yet to see him hold one of our children, but we have video of him making the same ridiculous noises to Drew when he was about Gabe's age. Gotta love those Macho Argentine Men!

Here's our blog if you want to take a look. Thanks for letting me lurk! http://seeleys.blogspot.com

So that must be the way of their generation--popping and tongue rolling? It's very cute to see him work that hard (has anyone told him holding babies is much easier?)
